Billing

Invoices and gift codes

Download invoices for successful top-ups and redeem gift codes to add free credit to your wallet.

3 min read

This page covers two extra Billing features: invoices for successful top-ups and gift codes used to add free funds directly to your wallet.

Invoices

When do you get an invoice?

Invoices are only generated for top-up transactions (TOPUP) with a Success status. Other transaction types (rentals, renewals, refunds) do not have individual invoices. You don't need to do anything extra — the invoice is ready to view or download as soon as the deposit ticket reaches Success status.

How to view and download

Go to app.xcloudphone.com/dashboard/deposit-history.

Find a row with status Success.

Click "View invoice" to open it directly, or "Download PDF" to save it locally.

What's on the invoice

Each invoice includes:

  • Billing name and address — pulled from your Profile page.
  • Tax ID — if you've entered one in your Profile (needed for business invoices).
  • Amount and currency — VND or USD.
  • Transaction date — when the top-up was recorded.
  • Transaction ID — unique identifier for reconciliation.
  • Payment method — VietQR or Stripe.

If you need an invoice issued to your company, update your tax ID and company name in your Profile before topping up. The invoice is generated from the Profile data at the time of payment — editing your Profile afterwards won't change past invoices.

Invoice caching

The first time you open an invoice, the system needs to render the file — it may take a few seconds. From the second time onwards, the file is served from cache and opens near-instantly.

Gift codes

What is a gift code?

A gift code is a code issued by xCloudPhone that adds free credit to your wallet. They can come from:

  • Promotional campaigns.
  • Events, conferences, livestreams.
  • Loyalty rewards for existing customers.
  • Official marketing emails.

How to redeem

Sign in to your account.

Go to the top-up page (app.xcloudphone.com/dashboard/deposit-history) — find the "Enter gift code" field.

Type the code you received. The field automatically converts input to uppercase as you type — no need to toggle Caps Lock.

Click "Apply" or press Ctrl+Enter to confirm quickly from the keyboard.

If the code is valid, the system credits your wallet immediately — the balance updates, and the transaction appears in deposit history with the "Gift Code" method.

Gift code rules

  • One code, one use: once redeemed, a code can't be reused — not even on another account.
  • Codes have an expiry date: expired codes won't activate even if unused.
  • Codes may be account-limited: some are only valid for new accounts or accounts meeting specific conditions.
  • Codes can be revoked: if fraud is suspected, xCloudPhone reserves the right to disable a code before it's redeemed.

Gift code vs. discount voucher

These are two completely different things:

TypeWhat it doesWhere to use
Gift codeAdds free credit to your walletEnter on the top-up page
Discount voucherReduces price by % or fixed amount when rentingEnter at machine rental / checkout

If you receive a code and aren't sure which it is, try entering it on the top-up page first. If it's invalid there, it's likely a discount voucher — use it when renting a machine.

Warnings

Only enter gift codes from official channels: xCloudPhone emails, the official Facebook page, the official Telegram channel, or events organised by xCloudPhone. Codes from sketchy sources may be scams.

Invoices are generated from your Profile at the moment of payment. You cannot edit an existing invoice afterwards (changing company name or tax ID, for example) — you must contact support, and it will be handled as a manual case.
