Rent a cloud phone

HowtoRentanAndroidCloudPhoneThatRunsonRealHardware

To rent an Android cloud phone, you sign in with Google, top up your wallet, choose to rent by the hour, day, week or 30 days, and open the device straight in your browser. The device is a real Android phone in a datacenter in Vietnam; it keeps running after you close the tab for the rental period you paid for, and it is wiped clean after every rental.

You rent a real phone by the hour — no handset to buy, nothing to install, no device of yours left switched on.

What you rent

What You Get When You Rent a Cloud Phone

Renting a cloud phone means renting the use of a real Android phone for a set time: the device sits in a datacenter, you see its screen and control it through your browser, and it runs on the datacenter's power and network rather than yours.

  • The device: a real ARM phone in a datacenter

Each device is a real Android ARM board running Android 16, with its own storage and its own hardware identity, rented to one person at a time — not a virtual machine shared with anyone else.

  • The session: close the tab, it keeps running

Closing the browser only cuts the video stream to your screen; the device and the apps on it keep running to the end of the rental period you paid for. To run longer, extend the rental or switch on auto-renew.

  • After the rental: wiped before the next renter

When a rental ends, the device is restored to factory settings through Android recovery and checked again before it goes back into the pool. The next renter never sees your data.

How it works

How Renting Works, Step by Step

The whole process happens on the web, with no app to install. New accounts start with 2 free trial hours, so the top-up step only matters once you want to keep renting.

  1. 01

    Sign in with Google

Accounts are created with Google; a new account is credited 2 free trial hours automatically — no card, once per account.

  2. 02

    Top up your wallet

You top up a prepaid wallet: bank transfer through VietQR in VND, or Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Apple Pay or Google Pay through Stripe in USD. Money in the wallet stays there — it cannot be withdrawn to a card or bank.

  3. 03

    Choose a rental cycle

Rent by the hour, day, week or 30 days; the longer the cycle, the lower the effective hourly rate.

  4. 04

Open the device in your browser

Once the device is ready, you land straight on its phone screen in a browser tab: tap, swipe, type and install apps as you would on a handset.

Rent another device any time; each one is billed separately and all of them sit in one dashboard.

What people rent it for

What People Rent a Cloud Phone For

Most renters need a phone that stays on when their own device cannot. Idle gaming comes first; the rest are jobs that are better kept off the phone in your hand.

  • 24/7 idle gaming

Keep a game running after you switch your phone off, for the rental period you paid for. Games with an official auto-battle or idle mode run as they would on a real phone.

    • Keeps running through the rental
    • No overnight charging
    • Close the tab, it keeps going
  • Heavy games on a weak device

The game runs on the device in the datacenter and your device only decodes the video — an old laptop or a low-RAM phone can still play demanding games.

    • The game runs off your device
    • Just a browser and a steady connection
    • No hardware upgrade
  • Many accounts, one device each

Rent a separate real phone for each account and open them all in one browser, instead of cramming several accounts onto one handset.

    • One real device per account
    • One dashboard for every device
    • Add devices any time
  • A separate space, apart from your main phone

A clean device with its own storage, kept apart from the phone you use every day. You assign your own proxy, change the device information and simulate a location right in your browser.

    • Its own storage, apart from your phone
    • Apps and data never mix with your phone
    • Set up right in the browser
  • App development and testing

A real Android ARM device you can reach from anywhere — useful when you need real hardware behaviour rather than an emulator's approximation.

    • Real ARM device, reached remotely
    • Real hardware behaviour
    • No emulator to maintain
  • Spare your own phone

No heat, no battery drain and no game eating the storage of the phone you use every day — the heavy work runs on the rented device.

    • No heat, no battery drain
    • No game hogging your storage
    • Your main phone lasts longer
Devices

Can I Use It From a PC, a Mac or a Phone?

Yes. The rented device runs in your browser, so anything with a modern browser and a steady connection can control it — nothing to install, and there is no XCloudPhone app in any app store at the moment.

  • Windows, macOS and Linux computers

Open it in Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari. Your computer keyboard types straight into the phone, and the clipboard syncs both ways.

    • Type on a real keyboard
    • Two-way clipboard
    • Push files to the device
  • Android phones and iPhones

Open it in the browser on your phone, then tap and swipe as on a real handset. No app to download.

    • Multi-touch tap and swipe
    • Runs in your phone's browser
    • No app to download

Figures are approximate for each picture quality. On a patchy connection, lower the quality — the rented device keeps running normally; only the picture on your screen gets softer.

The honest part

What You Can and Cannot Do on a Rented Cloud Phone

Renting a cloud phone means renting a real Android phone to run apps and games, not renting a replacement for your main phone. The limits below are how it works, not bugs waiting for a fix.

  • Android only, no iPhone

Every device is a real Android phone. There is no cloud iPhone, and we make no promises about iOS.

  • No SIM, no calls, no camera

A rented device has no SIM for calls, text messages or on-the-spot two-factor codes. Treat it as a second device with a job of its own.

  • Some apps may refuse to run

Banking apps and apps with their own device checks may not run on a rented device. We cannot guarantee that every app will work.

  • It needs a connection, and there is latency

Every action makes a round trip to the datacenter and back: we measured 25–28 ms for users in Vietnam (19 July 2026). Lose the connection and you lose the control view.

  • Account locks: cannot guarantee

A real device means a platform sees a real phone rather than emulator traces, but whether a game or social account gets locked depends on the platform and on how you use it — we cannot guarantee any outcome.

  • When the cycle ends, the device is wiped

Devices are wiped clean between rentals. Back up anything you want to keep, or keep it on an account you can sign back into.

Versus the alternative

Renting a Cloud Phone vs Buying a Second-Hand Phone

When people want an extra phone that stays on, the familiar route is buying a used one. The table below compares them point by point: some favour renting, some favour buying — each row says which.

Rent when

  • You need a device for a stretch: a few hours, a few days, a season
  • You need several devices, or the number changes month to month
  • You would rather not keep another device on the charger at home all night

Buy a used phone when

  • You need exactly one spare phone, used every day for years
  • You need a SIM, calls, text messages or a camera on it
  • You have space for it and do not mind maintaining it yourself
Extend or cancel

How to Cancel or Extend a Rental

Every rental is a prepaid block, and when the block ends the device stops. Extend manually or switch on auto-renew to keep going; otherwise the device stops on its own when the block ends.

  1. Pay for a block up front

Pick an hour, day, week or 30 days and pay from your wallet. The device is assigned to you and opens straight in your browser.

  2. The device runs to the end of the block

Close the tab or switch your computer off and the rented device keeps running to the end of the block you paid for. The dashboard shows the time left on each device.

  3. Before time runs out, pick one of three

This has to happen while the session is still running: once a block has ended, the device is wiped and cannot be extended.

    • Extend manually

Extend while the session is running to keep that same device and everything on it.

Keeps running on the same device

    • Auto-renew

Switch it on beforehand; near the end, the system extends that same session if your wallet has enough funds. Out of funds means it stops, with no grace period.

      Keeps running while funds last

    • Do nothing

Without auto-renew, nothing is charged to your wallet automatically.

Device stops when the block ends

  4. Block ends: the device stops and is wiped

The device is restored to factory settings and checked again before it is rented to anyone else. The next renter never sees your data.

Is stopping early refunded?

No. Once a rental has started it is not refunded, even if you have not used all the hours. Under our Terms of Service, a refund is only considered when:

  1. The device is delivered later than promised
  2. The device has a hardware failure or goes offline during the initial deployment period
  3. You report it to support within 72 hours of the incident

There is no self-cancel or self-refund button; wallet balance can only be used to rent or extend and cannot be withdrawn to a card or bank.
