Share Sessions
Access a Cloud Phone someone shared with you
For the RECIPIENT — how to access a phone shared by username, open a public share link, and what guest limits apply when you are not signed in.

This guide is for you, the recipient, not the person doing the sharing. There are two ways someone can share an xCloudPhone with you, and each has its own flow.
This is the common path when you are on the same team as the sharer and already have an xCloudPhone account.
Sign in to xCloudPhone — You need an xCloudPhone account with the exact username the sharer entered when inviting. If you do not have one yet, register first and ask them to re-invite you.
Open Share Sessions — Go to Dashboard → Share Sessions (app.xcloudphone.com/dashboard/share-sessions). The page shows a Shared With Me list — every Cloud Phone others have shared with you. For each entry you can see which phone is shared, who shared it, and the permission granted (View or Control). When the owner sends an invitation, access is granted immediately — no acceptance step is required on your end.
Use the shared phone — The phone appears in the Shared With Me list and you can open the viewer just like any other phone. View permission: you can see the live screen but cannot interact. Control permission: you can tap, type, and swipe as if you were holding the phone. You can also add the phone to Sync Control to drive it together with other phones.
The sharer can change permission or revoke access at any time. If they revoke, the phone disappears from your list immediately.
When someone sends you a link in the form app.xcloudphone.com/share/<long code>, you do not need an xCloudPhone account.
Open the link in your browser — Click the link. If it is a public link, the viewer opens straight away. If it is password-protected, a password prompt appears first.
Enter the password (if any) — The sender will give you the password — ideally through a different channel than the link itself. Enter it correctly and the viewer opens.
Use the phone according to your permission — View: watch the live screen only. Control: tap, type, and swipe as if you were holding the phone.
Guest limitations (not signed in)
Because you enter as a guest, some operations are intentionally limited compared to the phone owner:
- No installing apps from the owner's personal library — you can only upload an APK directly from your own device, and only if allowed.
- No shutting down or restarting the phone — only the owner can do that.
- Some administrative actions are restricted (changing configuration, system settings, and so on).
- Screenshots — May or may not be permitted depending on settings; when allowed, screenshots are saved to your own device.
These limits exist to protect the phone owner.
Tips
- Test a couple of simple actions first to confirm whether you have View or Control.
- If the link suddenly stops working, the owner may have disabled it or changed the password — contact them.
- If you have Control, let the owner know before making big changes (installing apps, opening sensitive accounts) to avoid conflicts.
Security warning
A link and password are direct keys to someone else's Cloud Phone. Do not forward them to third parties without checking with the owner. Do not post them on social media.
If you accidentally leak them, tell the owner immediately so they can disable the link and issue a new one.
